China's news: Former Mayor of New York concludes his China visit

    
(China News Service, Feb 6th, Beijing) With the invitation of Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Rudolph Giuliani, former mayor of New York led a group to visit China for the first time from Feb 5th to 6th. During their travel in Beijing, Jia Qinglin, Chairman of National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Li Zhaoxing, Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Wang Qishan, Mayor of Beijing respectively met with Giuliani and his group.

In the meeting on Feb 5th, Wang Qishan said, "I visited New York last year and your excellent performance in dealing with September 11 Incident impressed people greatly. In the eyes of American and New York people, it is no doubt that you are a mayor with personal charm."

Wang Qishan stated that Olympic Games are a great opportunity not only for China and Beijing but also for the world. Therefore, we hope that enterprises from each country would grasp business chances from 2008 Olympic Games in corresponding business activities. In the preparation process of Olympic Games, Beijing will be becoming a more opening city, and we welcome your company to participate in the Games, contributing to public security. While appreciating Mr. Wang's meeting, Giuliani introduced his company and hoped to take the role in security of Olympic Games in Beijing, such as security planning, security evaluation and security investment.

As former mayor of New York, Giuliani keeps close ties with Wall Street, therefore he made wide communication with China's enterprises and Financial fields. Giuliani hope that more investment companies from U.S. could be introduced to China in order to enhance wider cooperation in finance between China and U.S.

As an important achievement of this visit to China, Giuliani plans to hold World Economic Leader Forum with State Guest Entrepreneur Club during his next visit to China. On the occasion, the delegates of investment companies and several American listed companies from Wall Street will come to participate in this forum with him to discuss cooperation with China's enterprises in each field. At present, State Guest Entrepreneur Club, which is a membership club for high management of the top 500 companies in the world and social celebrities, is engaged in detailed arrangement of the forum.
