Invited by Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and Beijing State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club, Rudolph Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, arrived at Beijing Capital Airport by his private plane at 11:50 PM of February 4, 2005, and Doctor Wang Tianyi, the president of CIIC and the board chairman of Beijing State-Guest Entrepreneurs' Club, received him at the airport. At the wee hours of February 5, 2005, Rudolph Giuliani and a group traveling together of over ten people stayed at Presidential Plaza Hotel Beijing. Rudolph Giuliani was just the mayor of New York City as "September 11" incident took place.
