CPC Central Committee inspect BIIIB

Xie Boyang, vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Gao Weidong, deputy head of No.5 Bureau of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, led relevant staff of the Economic Department and the Anti-Poverty and Social Service Department of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and No.5 Bureau of the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee to inspect BIIIB on January 31, 2007. During the inspection, Wang Tianyi, president of CIIC led leaders of the group to accompany them.

BIIIB saw flaunting colorful banners in brilliant sunshine on January 1. Large slogans marking "Welcome Leaders from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee" and "Starting from the Great Wall and Getting back the Yellow River" struck people's eyes. Braving brisk north wind, all employers of BIIIB welcomed leaders from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee.

First of all, Liu Qun, vice-president of the group and general manager of BIIIB, briefed general plans of 10km2 Beijing Park, building and review progress of projects Phase I and II, expansion results of sister parks in other places as well as progress condition of foreign parks to guests. Afterwards, leaders such as vice-president Xie inspected production workshops of Fusheng machines.

At the symposium after visiting, president Wang talked about functions of development park economy and improving local economy building. He noted that building high-tech parks could bring continuous revenue to local government. Calculated by five billion yuan of production value per km2, 10km2 produces 50 billion yuan annually, then bringing five billion yuan of revenue. But real estate projects can only bring one-off revenues with much smaller revenue amount. Developing and building high-tech parks play unsubstituted roles in settling employment and enlarging taxation resources. Beijing Base is located in Zhongguancun Development Area, situating along extension of north axis line of Beijing and occupying an excellent geographical position. Under great support of government at levels of Beijing municipality and Changping District, Beijing Base brought production value amount to over 13 billion yuan per km2 in a short while, even equaling to Zhongguancun Haidian Park of over ten years, thus making contributions to local economic building.

Leaders such as Xie Boyang, vice-chairman, fully affirmed building achievement of Beijing Base, while identifying with CIIC's deeds of developing park economy and raising intensive land usage effectiveness. He stated that the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce is bound to vigorously support private owned enterprises such as CIIC and boosting private economy growth in China.
