Information Industry Development Summit to Come

(Economic Daily, February 14, by Correspondent Xu Lijing) Information Industry Development Summit & the 1st Hainan Information Industry Development Forum, sponsored by China International Trade Promotion Commission and Hainan Province People's Government, undertaken by China International Industry & Commerce Co. and supported by the Ministry of Information Industry of the P.R.C., is to be conducted on March 27 and 28, 2003 in Haikou city of Hainan province. The Forum will present discussions on the interaction between developments of China's information industry and the world information industry under the current situation of the world economy for the purpose of accelerating development of the industry, promoting industrialization with support of the industry and speeding up its penetration into the national economy and various sectors of the society. It will promote development of China's information industry and the regional information industry.
