(People's Daily Overseas Version) Some ambassadors and counselors of foreign embassies and consulates in China and world top 500 IT enterprises will, as invited, attend Information Industry Development Summit to be held in Haikou city of Hainan province on March 27 and 28.

It's reported that Information Industry Development Summit & the 1st Hainan Information Industry Development Forum, sponsored by China International Trade Promotion Commission and Hainan Province People's Government, cosponsored by State Development Planning Commission Economic Research Institute, State Economic and Trade Commission Economic Research Center and China International Relations Association, undertaken by China International Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd and supported by the Ministry of Information Industry, will present discussions on topics including development of the information industry in China, ways to promote the industry efficiently and to promote regional information industry, planning of regional development of the industry, promotion of the industry in Hainan province and new understanding of China and Hainan to all other parts of the world, etc. (By Jing Hua)
